Wesley Pacheco is a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach and professional fighter with a goal of becoming a World Champion. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, and now living in Sydney, Australia, Wesley has been immersed in Jiu-Jitsu since childhood. His journey began in a social project in his hometown between 2005 and 2006, where he was introduced to the sport through family involvement.
Since moving to Australia in 2016, Wesley has focused on pursuing his passion for Jiu-Jitsu at a professional level. He spent extensive periods in Brazil, training intensively at Guigo Jiu-Jitsu in São Paulo, under his father’s master, Luiz Guilherme ‘Guigo’, to refine his skills and learn from some of the best in the world.
Wesley has already achieved significant success in his competitive career, with standout achievements such as Gold Medals at the 2023 IBJJF Pan Pacific and the 2020 Abu Dhabi National Pro, among others. His main goal is to represent Australia and win the prestigious IBJJF World Championship in Los Angeles, further cementing his place as one of the top competitors in the sport.
Kyla Bolterstenj is an enthusiastic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Coach, who has been an active competitor throughout her career. Born and raised here on the Northern Beaches, Kyla’s Jiu Jitsu journey started in 2014 when she began training at her local gym.
As a qualified high school teacher, Kyla‘s goal is to weave together her love for both education and martial arts, bringing an evidenced based approach to her coaching style.
In her competitive career, Kyla has achieved success at the most prestigious events in Australia including a Gold Medal at the 2023 IBJJF Pan Pacific, and Silver Medals at the Australian National Championships and New South Wales State Championships, among others. Kyla hopes to continue competing at the highest level in Australia to continually refine her skills.
